My Family.

Amber Lydic.

 Amber and I have been married since December 31 2011. We first met when she was the trainer for the mounted unit of the San Jose Police Department. Amber also personally tried to hire me three years before that however she cancelled her appointment due to another commitment. lol  "Good things come to those that wait!"

 I am very proud to be a stepfather to Austin, He is such a well behaved young man, He loves to pick the mini horses feet, play soccer, burp! and ride around the ranch on his quad. Which is great for the dogs as they love to chase him round n round!

 Amber is a great mum and i feel like i hit the jackpot everyday!

Amber started riding when she was 2 years old with her mother and has been in the saddle ever since.

She is John And Josh Lyons Certified and has competed in Hunter and Jumper, Dressage, Western and English pleasure, Cutting and reined cow horse.

Amber is very busy not only does she take care of our barn in the Los Gatos Mountains and the 12 horses, she also has her own personal business where she trains off site, Hosts clinics, teaches at our barn/ arena for clients that wish to trailer in, has horses in full training at our house and also is a certified member of E.A.G.A.L.A ( equine assisted growth and learning association ) where she is helping to improve the lives of adults and children of all ages, with the help of horses!

Bam Bam.

My name is Bam Bam. I am American Miniature Horse. I was born on a ranch called Sierra Ranch in Grass Valley on May 11th 2011. I am a Silver Bay & a Dwarf.My mom's name is "Just Pebbles" aka Pebbles. She is 27 inches & also a Silver Bay. In her younger years she was shown in halter & freestyle classes. My dad is a 32 inch buckskin. His name is "Mystic Rose Pass the Buck 500" aka Bucky.At the 2005 World Miniature Horse Show my grandparents were the highest scoring Dam & Sire!!! Whooo Hoooo!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      My mom is 25 years old, so needless to say I was a surprise. She was out with all of the other brood mares & our ranch manager thought she was too old to get pregnant.... And here I am!!

 Flirt.

"Traveln' Flirt" aka Flirt is an 2005 American Quarter Horse, He spent the first five years of his life as a cutting horse. Now he spends his time teaching people how to ride and plays an active role in EAP sessions (equine assisted psychotherapy).

This summer he plans are to participate in reined cow horse events and is looking forward to spending his off time exploreing the trails.

Flirt is the boss of our herd. He loves to think the shetlands are cows and he cuts them in the pasture all by himself just for fun!

He loves eating branches from the orange tree outside the house and LOVES to groom other horses (especially Bam Bam!)  

Fred.

                                                                                                                                                    

Fred is the best dog in the world! For the first two years of his life he joined me everyday for work.

Now he spends most of his time lounging around the ranch playing with Sugar and Bam Bam, And most importantly sleeping!  

He is a purebred Basset, Beagle, German Shepard!

Well maybe not a purebred! But he does have the body of a Basset hound, the head of a beagle and the coat and tail of a German Shepard! All those great breeds in an under 45lb package! Purebred Fred!

Fred was born August 25, 2009

Fred loves horses, kids, adults, other dogs, foot trimmings and poop!

On some days you may find Fred at the dog park, the beach or just hanging out with dad. His life is far from ruff!

Sugar.

Sugar is a Boston Terrer, she was born May 2nd 2011. Sugar joined our family when she was 8 weeks old.

She is weighing in at a whole 19lbs. She may be small but she is sassy!!!!

She enjoys snuggling, playing tug a war with fanny!, burrowing in blankets and loves eating Goldfish!(the crackers!)

At our barn you can find her snacking on hoof trimmings and grazing in the pasture with the horses! 

She loves to share Bam Bam's bucket with him! and also bailing twine is the best toy in the world!

She's cute SASSY n gassy! 

Stinky.

Stinky is a female domestic black and white cat. She is pretty crazy and loves lasers, shadows, toys, balls, oh the toys she loves the best belong to Fred! She loves taking my socks out of the sock drawer and taking them all around the house! Her best sock count is 18! 

Stinky also loves food!!!! So much so that I have an automated cat feeder  that way if she runs out of food the attention is not directed at me. Without it I would be woken up and any time of the night by her biting my legs, feet or her favorite... my chin! She would be so careful not to wake me until she is sure she has at least 3 hairs from my stubble which she would then pluck! So i would wake up and feed her! She has me so well trained! 

I have had stinky since she was 6 weeks old, She loves to sit on my lap and lick me, talk to the washer/dryer, and hide in cupboards.  She is purrfect!

But she smells really bad! 

Fanny.                                                                                                                                                                                              

Fanny was a rescue from the S.P.C.A she was found in Kohl's parking lot at 2 weeks old.Fanny and sugar grew up together and we are pretty sure she thinks she is a dog! She plays with Sugar, eats with Sugar and Sleeps with Sugar. She even plays with her toys! Fanny is obsessed with Ambers hair ties! I normally find at least 2 a day in her feed bowl and when things go missing you can guarantee who's taken them!
